    once my parents pass, my brother and I get $600K to split. I'm gonna use my money to move to SW Colorado and get my cabin in the mountains.

    It'd really help if you had more realistic housing requirements. It's a tough market to buy in, but from what I can glean from your posts, you probably make enough money.

    Well I guess I did it all wrong. I worked hard, saved a little money, and was responsible enough with my credit to be able to buy a house (first one a VA loan) less than one year after ETS.

    I didn't know I should have waited for my 'rents to die.
