I went to my first build party in December not knowing what I'd be doing. I figured I'd watch and learn but got involved. There were people on a press pushing out barrels with the penny method. I just went along with it even though I'd read about dressing the pin cut in the barrel as it starts to move.

Today I pressed out two barrels. My third build turned out to have a defective front trunnion.(I did save the receiver.) I spent about 5 seconds lightly dressing the edges with a cheap Horror Freight needle file. Guess which barrel was done at the party.


The worst thing is that the galled barrel is a Yugo M72 RPK.
