Anyway, I hope it wasn't caused by that.
I hope the same also. I would bet it's all hearsay that a news reporter heard from someone who lives in the area. On the news one of the locals said he watched the fire as it first started and knew it was was "man made" due to seeing three fires that had simultaneously started that were strung out between 1/2 and 3/4 of a mile between them.

we were headed up there yesterday for some hiking, saw the smoke as we headed out the door, wound up hiking the other side down tarryall creek.

we were about an hour behind the start of the fire. about four hours later we came out and I have to say most of the really hot spots looked to be knocked down quite a bit and could not see any damage in the trees from the earlier hot spots.

if the smoke had not been present you would be hard pressed to know there was a fire. mostly in the grass at least as of yesterday afternoon. we will see what a hot day brings.

drove out to breck yesterday. the wind had shifted direction from sunday. looked to be blowing the fire back on itself.

as far a forest fires go it still didn't look to be doing much damage.

What's up with this? It sounds like any fire that starts is now caused by a shooter. Let's not wait for evidence of the fact, let's just throw out the most likely thing (to a liberal) that it could be. One way or the other, conservatives (and particularly gun owners) start most fires in the U.S.!

Three fires at once does not sound like shell casings. The question yesterday was "where can we find the drug dealers" They were reported using a Budget Rental truck, trying to hide it in the woods off FS56 1 mile in the NF and told Sheriff that they were cutting firewood. Yea, in a truck you could move my entire house or 200 cords of wood, lol
They were spotted on FS39 a mile or so from FS56. Drug(RAVe) parties are regular events on FS 192 near FS39, just listen for the sh*t music at 3 am.

I know: Let's blame Taliban terrorists practicing with their RPGs, which of course they got from an unscrupulous clerk at a *gasp* GUN store...
