I picked mine up at Dick's for $500. It's a 20 gun Stack On fire safe.

I ended up with this one (20 size)

Found an ad on craigslist for it. Turns out there is a company that was/is just getting started selling these things down in Wheat Ridge, $644 out the door and loaded into my truck.

Not too bad since the cheapest I could find it for on the web was $799.00

The weapons are not claustrophobic anymore.

Are there any brands to avoid?

I'll be looking for one soon too. I apologize if this is out there, but I did a search first.

I've heard that Stack-On is a brand to avoid but mine seems sturdy. You won't be popping it open with a crowbar any easier than you will a Ft Knox or a Browning. The way I look at it is if a thief is determined and prepared enough to break into a gun safe then they're gonna be able to get into any of them.

I used a $100 off coupon from Sportsmans Warehouse and picked up the BIG Browning. The big pig. 1080 pounds empty. At long last my 50 can fit in a safe.
