Wow. Just....wow. Federal laws be damned apparently.

What really disturbs me is that they'll be training the Chaplains to perform these marriages on federal property if the state it's located in, allows.

And my son wonders why I wander around muttering "I'm glad I'm on my way out"

Doesn't impact me, so I could care less...

Marriage shouldn't be a federal matter and I really don't care if two dudes want to get shacked up.

It may not impact you directly but these kind of federal "work arounds" impact us all. Just like trying to abolish the death penalty through the revocation of the lethal chemicals rather than trying to pass a law - one just needs a signature and the other requires politics (and, by the way, this is really happening, check the news). So let's quietly pass executive orders and policies and hope people don't notice.

Who is to say that Obooboo doesn't say that solid lead is a health hazzard and decide to ban bullets in America without any congressional approval just simply by having a "health czar" declare it so?

Oh, and if two guys want to play house, it's none of my business but if it skirts around federal law then it's wrong. It's not a lifestyle choice that I personally approve of but I agree that it's not a federal matter - that being said, though, currently it IS a federal matter and until that changes....

Personally, it is not a lifestyle choice that I approve of either. That being said, I don't care if two guys want to get married. If they want to do it, then I really don't think it's my business...just my opinion.
