One of my lowers is a DPMS also so after seeing this I got paranoid and had to go look at it, mine is fine.
Stupid question but I have to at least mention it. On the right side of the lower there is a raised profile line on it, thats not what you are seeing, is it?

Yesterday was the first time I took it out and I put 250 rds thru it with a few mag dumps included with the only malfunction a single stove pipe probably from an extractor that was toast when we tore the BCG apart and inspected it today.
I am going to see what DPMS says but am not super worried about it. This was a straight budget AR build I think I am in it for a total of $550, with a DD LPK magpul MOE grip new gas rings extractor upgrade and a new cam pin being the only "upgrades" i have done. mind you I know nothing about the upper and barrel make and model. But i was causing hell on clays yesterday at 50+ yards which works for me. Mine is the one one the far left along with the ruger 10/22
