Cmon now Guy- we know you really think of Nancy Pelosi when you see Sarah...........
Back OT- it sucks to see a dealer get ripped off but I am afraid we are going to see more of this.
As far as additional laws and burdens on FFL's, we already have plenty of encumbrances. How about our justice system enforcing the letter of the law when it comes to crimes against FFL's?
Example-when I worked for 5280 we had an individual who attempted to steal a firearm from us at a gunshow. He was tackled before he hit the door and arrested and the firearm, now damaged was recovered. Now theft of a firearm from a FFL is a Federal offense. The Feds did not want to pursue the case as the firearm was recovered and the local agency was not overly interested because the attempted theft was under 1K. The punk who tried to steal the firearm got attempted misdemeanor theft and probation. Not much of a deterrent.
As far as removing the firearms and placing them in safes every night not very practical. Sure a small dealer that has 2 dozen firearms no big deal but what about someplace like 5280 that has literally hundreds on display? Every one of those firearms is now going to get safe dings and handling marks from the constant juggling of them. Great, now the dealer gets to sell damaged products.
Not to mention the additional time the dealer is going to have to pay employees for moving them. Who is gonna pay for that? You the consumer. Plus I have moved every firearm in that shop, loading up for shows. It is like moving a 3 bedroom apartment twice in a weekend, it really sucks and just hard bustass work.
Just lock up the "Assault Rifles"? Great, here we go demonizing them further just because of a few characteristics of the firearm, you know-"the shoulder thingy that goes up".
Hell, why don't we just ban the sale of them, it will cut down on theft of them and while we are at it, let's just ban ownership of them because it will cut down on burglaries and home invasions too.
Its for the children
