Default Carbine Class for a Bag of Trash - 1 With Poll for new date

Here it is. Link to previous thread.

The first one will be one Sunday, the 1st of May. If all goes well we will continue to run these as often as possible and desired. Seems like the last weekend of the month may be a good pattern, and we will probably move it to Pawnee next time.

Break down of the event as of now-

South site shooting range, near Buffalo Creek Colorado-

I will get there very early-show up as soon as you can, but we will start before the ranges get running just to tie it up as ours. Forrest service may help with this.

For the first hour or so, cleaning up the range. If we have enough people I don’t think this will take any longer than this, probably much less time than this

For few minutes- zeroing, may help to have a bunch of other guys to watch targets. Here is a good chance to set up your scope with a bunch of other people who know/care what an MOA is. Those who try to zero with there wife/kid know what I mean.

For the next 4-5 hours, we will run some drills, maybe a little contest or two, thinking a balloon shoot, an El Presidente or two? This will be updated as I get more ideas and requests. Been an idea for some prizes for these, Golden brick for missing, Painted shell for winning? Thanks Alxone.

    After that, BBQ-enough said

More shooting if we are up to it

Clean up what we have made, run by the Buffalo Creek Ranger Station and dump our trash, and head on home, maybe dropping guys off on the way.

Here's what I ask as of now-

I will count you as one if you say your coming and don't add numbers to your post.
If you plan to come and/or bring anybody, please say so so we can get a good idea how much to bring in terms of food or needs for range day. This isn't an RSVP, if you don't post, you can come or bring others, but please do your best to let us know. If you post and can't come, same story, I won't freak out, but please let us know as best you can.

If you are alright driving others, please let us know and let people know where and how many spots you will have. (if you need a ride, please PM the member and get it organized)

If you have some food that you would like to throw in, please let us know so others can bring other stuff.

If you plan to bring steel or targets, let us know, If you plan to please put your name on it, I would like to avoid hard feelings and mistakes. I will bring some paint, so we can mark them-

-thinking-green-22s only, blue-pistols or 22s, red or not painted-rifles on down.

If you feel comfortable running a drill or two, want to do a certain drill or contest, please let me know, I will update this thread with any details or information.

If you are an industry partner and would like to show off some of your gear, let me know so we can get an idea and share it with others. We can’t sell guns to avoid it turning into a “gun show” but if you have other stuff your needing to trade with a guy, I don’t see the problem.

Let's start a list of equipment we can bring. Copy and paste list into your post.

    1. Big Wall: 1 steel target and stand. The steel is thin but it was free so I really don't care how beat up it gets. AR-15 zeroing targets if anyone needs one.

Awesome this is going to be on a Saturday!! Count me in and I can provide 3 seats in my truck and 1/2" steel targets(pistol only- might give some away)! I've got 8 roughly 2'x2' pieces of 1/2" steel and can cut/torch them to specific sizes if wanted!?

I can't commit at this point but will let you know in a week or so. I am broke physically at the moment and it is all I can do to walk.

    an El Presidente or two?
Lots of fun and I do have a bunch of silhouettes and some stands. And for those that do not know it is 2 shots each on 2 silhouettes, mag change, 2 shots each on 2 silhouettes at 15 yds, shot from one spot. You start with your back to the table. I am slow at it but have a good time anyway.
I see you running, tell me what your running from

Nobody's coming, what ya do that was so wrong.

Sorry to hear that Jerry... let me know if I can do anything... I'm in the neighborhood...
It doesn't look like I'll be able to make this one... we'll see how things go for the rest of the month...

Really wanted to attend with the youngins, however my youngest sons birthday is the 29th and he is having a sleepover party so that kinda kills it for me. Besides the ol'lady works Saturdays and she would be "upset" if she didn't get to go. Hopefully next month will be on a Sunday.

Hmmm, there are a lot of different formats for El Prez. This is the one I'm familiar with:

    and it looks like this

Mom's comin' 'round to put it back the way it ought to be.
