Yeah I'm thinking it would be safer to just download stuff off The Pirate Bay ... without any sort of peer blocking ... and then email the RIAA with a message to "come and get me bitches!"

    i like, thanks comrad.

now, i have to get a prepaid credit card. unless you think its safe to use my real card. 9-15 cents a song for most of the ones i looked for.

the question is..how is the quality? are they records burned to mp3? because some of the music I am looking at is 30-60 years old. I like the prices though.

where can you legally buy music cheaper than a buck a song? I am open to suggestions.

I'll still grab another disposable card next time I'm at Safeway when I need to recharge it. Call me paranoid, but I lived as a sysadmin through the days of eastern Europe being the vast majority of fraud.

You can preview the songs by clicking the little green arrow. The quality of the previews isn't always as good as the actual tracks, I think they might be a little more compressed. You can certainly give one track a try for ten cents and assume the others will be about the same qualtiy.

+1 for Amazon. Songs are less than a buck (especially if they're old or not popular), come in MP3 format, and get cheaper as they get older. I just checked some of my old orders and the songs have dropped since I bought them. Now you can save them to the Amazon Cloud and get them from anywhere or download them again if your hard drive fails.

Amazon is what I use. But pre paid CC's should be used all the time in my opinion. Everybody gets hacked eventually. Especially when going to busy restaurants, malls etc. Why risk it.

Not to side track things, but can you fill these pre-paid CCs with cash?

Yes. Walmart, 7-11 and many more places have them. Some have a small one time fee some have a per use fee, and some are just ridiculous so you have to read the fine print.
