I really shouldn't be defending Denver's artsieness anyway. I don't care much about the art or music scene and don't want any more crusty hippies anyway. The Santa Fe Art Walk is way too crowded anyway.

I'm with you; one thing I like most about Denver is its limited "art scene".

If your stuff is up to snuff, talk to Linda Cordair.

Best art in the world, there.

My understanding is that there used to be four...basically they symbolized the end of the world and the subsequent rebirth. A couple of them got painted over though, so now we're just left with the freaky ones that don't make sense.

Agreed, although I don't believe there is a scientific explanation for why so many artists lean so far left. They just do.

I also wouldn't want Denver to turn into any of those cities. Variety is good. Choose where you want to live and visit where you want to visit. Its all good.

    Default Colorado Springs is

    definitely a different ballgame.

I first got that it was different when i was working a detail down there undercover, sitting in a restaurant it was COMMON for groups of people to come in from lunch and openly pray before eating. Nobody turned a second glance.

Liberalism is a thing you'll find in nearly every large metropolitan city, it is, after all, where the government workers congregate - and they're mostly liberal. When I first moved here Denver was the 2nd highest area for federal employment, right behind Wash DC.

You might also try the art festival that dot the mountain summerscape, contact the chamber of commerce for the mountain counties, they'll have a listing of civic events with potential.

My wife wanted me to share this with you from one artist to another.....DON'T GIVE THE PRICK THE SATISFACTION!!!

She had a few thoughts on locations for you as the joy of creation should never be stifled. She suggested contacting all the ranges in the area about painting a mural for them. In addition, like we see at most outdoor musical events, there is usually a painter there painting live to some music. She has also had some success using Cafe Press as you can really express yourself in ways that might bring in a few coins every now and then.

    Good luck
