Where can I get Ron Paul stickers today?

I am actually quite awake thank you. Putting your response/argument in bold red and/or black changes nothing. I'll put my 3rd gen Colt 44-40 SAA in a (sorry) left handed Bachman (Old West Repro) fully-tooled holster as on the cover of "Packing Iron" up against any equal collateral. I'll put right here in print the SN and any other info you want- one for one. Neither Ron or Rand Paul will be the GOP candidate for President in 2012. I wouldn't take that bet. But unless or until the GOP fields a better candidate, I'm going to support Paul for the nomination. I don't agree with his stance in several areas either, but most of what he says IS "change I can believe in." Someone who understands the 10th amendment, at least.

He's not running as a third party candidate, he's running for the GOP. I'm hoping he gets the nod. However I bet we'll be left with some crappy candidate who simply panders to the far right wing base to win the nomination, then stands no chance against Obama.

absolutist and Libertarian are diametrically apposed. But we have a lot of arm chair absolutists on this forum, and not many true Libertarians. Bethatasitmay, we won't see the Paul boys get too far if they have to answer for their records or have to account for their integrity. Mitt's a fiscal conservative, but he's got some interesting socialist ideas that won't fly. I quite like Huckabee, but he can't get any money behind him (too honest a guy), and he recognizes that and won't run. Trump is a self aggrandizing lampoon of a success and a serial bankrupt (of course, if the country needs a guy that knows how to dodge creditors, he might just qualify).

Guess this leaves Sara Palin's daughter. I mean, since she had her cosmetic surgery she's looking pretty hot. How many kids you know her age that have been able to sock away a few million? Speaking of age, we'll just get the birthers to come up with a birth certificate showing she's a hot 45 something. It's about time they contribute concrete something to the little circus they run....

I wasn't trying to direct my post to you in particular. I just get frustrated with the "He doesn't stand a chance" argument. Question is WHY doesn't he stand a chance? Because the mainstream media says so? The mainstream media doesn't vote in the primaries, we do. So if you want to just right him off then go right ahead. I'm well aware of the chances of his GOP nod. I'm sure he is also. In my opinion he is doing it more to promote the ideals of liberty and change the course of the debate.


The fact is we can't afford another standard/progressive republican president any more then we can afford another democratic socialist.

So, what is a conservative to do? Just go with the same old shit or should we actually get some change for once?

When I voted for Paul in the '08 primaries we had a couple stand up and declare their support for Mitt Romney because, " he is the most conservative candidate that stands a chance of winning" They just basically wrote off Ron Paul because his views are not "ordained" by the establishment media. Just a bunch of "sleeping" people that let other people decide who is "qualified" to run their corporate welfare government............

Lets just hope that this time people actually vote for the most conservative candidate this time , because this country will be no more in another 4 years......Hell, it may already be to late.......

Just an FYI that'll probably get me all beat up- In the current GOP line-up, I'll take Newt Gingrich. With all of his thaws and issues, he's the smartest guy up there and I'll take that guy, who is one hell of a historian, not likely to ignore or repeat historical mistakes of the past. Also keep in mind, that I consider all of this a good-natured argument between friends.

Also, I don't think the lamestream media will cover Paul enough for anyone unfamiliar with his viewpoint to have any real idea where he stands.

Yup-ok, I just learned something about Newt I don't agree with. Found the Utube vid of him "debating" with John "3 bullshit Purple Hearts" Kerry.
He still speaks pretty logically if you listen to the whole thing. Kerry is stuck standing there just listening as the smarter guy speaks.

I still need more info on Newt, as he has skated around some social issues in the past, so I don't know where he stands on a few items. He's decent on a few issues, but I dunno enough yet

The Neo-cons are neuter or liberal on social issues. Homolovin, abortion, illegal immigration, immigration in general, etc...

A true conservative cannot get in and certainly will not become president, because of the Military Industrial Complex sucking money out to destroy and then 'rebuild' third world muslim countries, my god, they might try for all of North Africa now, to stay there forever, flooding America with the third world, the biggest problem, so that Nationalism will be impossible, banking system elects presidents, as well as wall street, all the power structure is involved, no way around it, and with the third world society looming in 20 years, the third world ass-kissing will get even worse. Its all planned, take down America, then install a one-world banking system. Not sure if Russia, China and India can get around it, work with it, or whatever, but America as we knew it is gone, and going fast. -Argentina anyone?

Kennedy DID what Ron Paul wants, he tried to close the Federal Reserve. Look what happened to him. (The 'red' seal on currency is from Kennedy, google it if you want to see it)

The best to hope for is a halfway decent RHINO, who may put in a couple conservative justices to save the Supreme Court for the next decade or 2, so they don't totally destroy the Social Structure with Multi-cultism. Anyone but Obama!
