Self defense ammo question.....

I personally think it is better to carry the same ammo as your local law enforcement agency. I even send emails to local agencies inquiring what ammo they use. It is a smart move because if you ever actually have to use it you can use that research in your defense. Seeing as how they carry ammo that has been shown not to over penetrate therefore being safer for bystanders and what not. Just some food for thought.

the last thread we had covering this subject matter started with a post much like yours and rapidly deteriorated from there.

I am in no way not saying you did it... But history repeats itself.

This is what some people consider a hot button topic.

"don't call them they are Just buying lowest bidder ammo"
"Yes call them for the legal protection of using the same ammo"
"They don't test the ammo"
"Yes they do test the ammo"

Next thing you know, someone throws an ugly word out there and its on...

I'll just sit and wait for the fireworks.

Definitely not what I would want. I should know by now though, any topic including LEOs seems to become a big bullshit flinging ring.

And it doesn't seem matter what forum I'm on - everytime "LEO" comes up it turns into chimpanzees flinging poop at each other.
