Again, I like both, but honestly I think they are both more valuable where they are. Now is not the time to be diluting the power of the constitutional conservatives in the legislature.

Right on! I like the idea of a Bachman/West ticket. Perfect for setting west up for 8 years after Bachman's 8 years.

I want Ron Paul. If the left can mess things up with Obamalamadingdong as their poster boy. I want to see what someone with freedom in mind can do with 4 years.

not going to happen. he tries and tries but in the end he just takes away votes where they are needed. I love some of his ideas but it isn't going to happen.

now rand paul would be good. I think Bachman/Rand Paul ticket is good.

I get emails from both of them and keep up with both on a weekly basis. Definitely would be good for us.

But as everyone has said, the CIC is more of a poster boy that can veto some works of the house and senate and talk big. What I fear is a turn in the supreme court in the next 6 years...that is something we do not want and the reason a conservative needs to win 2012.
Another big focus should be the senate and get it turned around. If conservatives own the house and senate, the only thing in the way is the mighty pen. But even that can't keep everything from getting pushed through and if we own both house and senate, overriding the veto is a possibility. Either way, the main focus needs to be keeping the house or strengthening it, taking more seats in the senate and then trying to get the white house.

I just can't take him seriously.

It seems as though some of you think the president can't get much done in the way of getting legislation passed.

Let me remind you of Obamacare.

Let me also remind you of the great things Ronald Reagan was able to do through his influence over the House and Senate. The house was in D hands his first 6 years and both houses were D his last 2 years. Reagan was able to get great things done.

Don't kid yourself. The president has a lot of power and influence over legislation. Not to mention, a conservative president can VETO bad legislation from a left-leaning congress. That's oftentimes just as important as getting something passed.

I, for one, don't underestimate the power of the presidency. Can you say Supreme Court nominations?
