    Default .338 Big Baer?

Anybody have info on this round? All I know about it is its a .408CT case necked down to .338. I can't find any info on case details (shoulder angle, etc.), external ballistics, and really anything else. Is it just basically a .338 SnipeTac? Is the .338ST a better round?
I'm looking into maybe, possibly, having a rifle built for the .338-408, mostly depending on cost. It'd be mostly for hunting and some target shooting.

Bruce Baer in of Pennsylvania developed it. You can contact him for more info. You can also go to longrangehunting. Com and get allot of info. Just type in 338/408 and you will score some reading info. Kirby Allen does an improved version that gets 3400 plus fps.
