Default Had an interview this morning..

...and I'm hoping I don't get the job. Something tells me that if I got the job, my work life would continue to be a sorrowful tale of misery and woe.

I've had interviews like that before. Where right in the middle of the interview you decide, "Screw this. This job sounds terrible."

no one forces you to accept
Interviews are in fact, a two way street.
You should be interviewing the company also.

I also had an interview this morning at 11:00am. I just got the "We're not hiring you." email at 1:48pm. They are really getting quick at turning me down. Usually takes at least two weeks, usually about 6 weeks. I thought that interview went decently as well. Good thing I wrote out the thank you cards in the car and delivered them 10 minutes after we were done. I'd feel dumb to have mailed them and had them show up 4 days after they declined me.

You can always ask what their policy on "Naked Tuesdays" is at the second interview...
Light a fire for a man, and he'll be warm for a day, light a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life...

ignorance. Ever found a liberal that you can have a discussion with?

In this economy it is hard to be picky. They're calling it a mancession for a reason. OTOH, if you have options, do be picky to save your sanity.

I once went on an interview where the manager I'd be working for was a huge jerk. When I met the VP I told him I liked the company and the job but couldn't work with that guy. A few months later the VP called me and said they'd fired him and could I come back again and I was with them 5 years.

If you don't mind me asking, what kind of work are you looking for?

Read a news article recently that folks who have been unemployed for awhile are not candidates that are usually considered now.

Ah well that's a bummer for a stay at home dad that plays around on the stock market... I'll just keep buying low and selling high for now...
