    Default can't catch a break

a few week ago i was broke and the only thing i could think of is pawn some thing, the only thing i have of any real value is an AR rifle,

i borrowed 150 on it cause that's all i needed. i did it knowing that if i took anymore than that the chance of me getting it back go down

went back today and had to do paper work to get it out including a firearms transfer stuff and it came beck denied now i have to deal with the cbi to try and get it back.
it still at the pawn shop
and i cant talk to anyone until Monday

    what are your thoughts

(if it was in my name when i pawned it why can't i just get it back)
(what do you think could have caused this)

This happened to me a few weeks back-Got a denial from the CBI. I had never had a transfer done in CO but a few back in IL with no problems. It turned out that an old battery charge when I was 17 in IL was holding it up even though I was found NOT Guilty.

The pawn shop should provide you with an appeal form to fax to the CBI. Complete it out and it will get the process started. I also called and talked to the appeals division. When you call they will not tell you what is holding it up unless you specifically say, " Was it that old battery charge in 1999???" and then they will tell you "yes" or "no"

Keep in contact with them and always be polite when dealing with them. Help them in anyway with case # or disposition of charges or anything that may speed up the appeal process. When they approve the transfer they will call the dealer up and tell them to release the firearm.

I know it sucks to be denied but it will work itself out. And they should be open today, so you can go ahead and fax the appeal now.
