    Default Oh how I wish this were mine...

    Built a vault last Monday and Tuesday and snapped some pics with my phone as we were building it. This would make a sweet gun room

    After I shot in the shoe plates I started to weld the walls as they were being placed:



    Usually I stand all the walls up and place the header first but since this was being built inside a gutted building, the maneuverability(sp?) was tough so we built three sides and left one side open to drive the forklift in to set roof panels:

    Here's the finished product I do, contactor does all the finish detail work:


    These are some serious locking bolts...This door weighs close to 6k lbs

    nice... I could see the mrs. coming in and telling me to slide it a little more to the left.

    do you set the steel in the slab?

    No the panels come from factory all prefabbed. All I do is stand 'em up, make 'em plumb and weld them together...sounds easy huh?

    Not that I could ever really justify the cost, but just for grins; Ballpark for what something like that would cost? It is kind of funny when the vault costs more than the items inside, but value is determined by the owner.
