i went to the shootist for the first time for the live fire qual for my CCW class decent prices but the store smelled horrible of that raunchy used diaper smell that is unbearable to be around. the range was busy and there was some drama about people not getting the full hour ventilation is horrible. people are nice but gun safety was scary. a guy brought in a mini 14 to sell and the person behind the counter grabbed it and flashed the muzzle across our ccw class then proceeded to remove the full magazine.
You sir, are a specialist in the art of discovering a welcoming outcome of a particular situation....not a mechanic.

My feedback add 11-12 ish before the great servpocaylpse of 2012

Only less than great thing about The Shootist is that the ventilation could be better.

I've been going there to shoot since December. I go in the evenings on Wednesdays (usually), mind my own business, and have a perfectly fine time. The ventilation always seemed fine to me but there's also not a lot of people on the range when I go.

I do wish I could hang a tennis ball down range, though.

I go there every now and then when the weather is bad and I can't shoot outside.

No per hour fee (single fee), you can shoot your own ammo, rapid fire all you want, draw from a holster etc....... as long as you are safe, they leave you alone.

I like the place, staff is nice, affordable and they don't bother you. Ventilation is borderline and could be improved but I don't go their that often so no big deal.
