Default So I think I done good (impulse buy)

Picked up a Smith & Wesson M&P 340 this afternoon ... like new in box for $500 cash.

(not mine, but it looks just like this ... yes it has the infernal lock)

Haven't seen one of these with an asking price under $700 in quite a while so I think I did well.

I can't get over how tiny it is (this is my first J frame ... my other snubbie is a Dan Wesson 14-2 so its more K/L frame size ... that and my other S&W is an N frame and the only Colt I've got is an Army Special).

I don't think I'm brave enough to actually shoot .357mag out of it though (I like my wrist just the way it is thankyouverymuch). Thankfully it came with a baggy of 25 or so rounds of random .38 Spec.

Now I need to decide if I wanna keep it or flip it (leanin' toward keepin').

Nice... I wish I'd have went with one of these instead of the Ruger SP-101 model KSP-321XL. I think they look better and have a better trigger...
What are your thoughts on the trigger?

Haven't shot it yet but dry firing it, the trigger is better than I expected it to be and reminds me of one of the several Kahr Elites I've had over the years.

I suspect your SP101 will feel better when shooting full power .357mag that this will ... seriously I expect it to hurt worse than my .44mag.

That's awesome man! I've always liked those light little revolvers...figure I'll try to pick one up when it's time to go concealed.

Heh ... the more I fiddle with it the more I'm likely to keep it.

It really is a nifty little machine, and I keep telling myself I need to have a good "deep cover" piece for times when I have to dress in such a way that IWB carry doesn't work well ... but I want something more powerful than my wife's KelTec P3AT.

However, if my wife sees these I may be in trouble:

She's already asked me if the S&W is "better" than her KelTec (I dodged the question and kept talking about the uncomfortable recoil ... however since she has a P3AT she's used to uncomfortable recoil).
