    .45 acp - Automatic Colt Pistol. Same thing as .45 Auto. It's the same cartridge that's been around for a century. No real need for a ported gun, but if it's got your fancy (and you know the work was done by Colt) I'd feel confident. I gripe about Colt, but right now they are putting out the best 1911's I've seen from them in several years. I haven't shopped prices in some time, and I don't know what they're asking for this one, but if you're getting into the $1,000 range, I'd take a good look at Dan Wesson too.
