9news reported at 9:40 that police report someone was shot and killed near Curtis Park. They have no details posted yet other than that. I have no idea where "Curtis Park" is.

yeah the shooting your talking about happened about a block away . what me and the lady heard was about 14 shots , the about a 20-30 min later the police showed up .its been quite here in the hood since

I saw some fireworks near Colfax and Sheridan tonight as well. I live near enough to 84th and I-25 to be concerned about the gun shots.

14 shots? Wow, someone was really pissed off. News said the guy parked his SUV, walked up to a guy in the park, talked with him briefly, shot him, then drove off. No mention that he dumped the entire magazine at point blank range. Someone needs anger management classes.

You're foolin' yourself if you think it's a nice neighborhood. I helped a friend move some things into her apartment (88th & I-25) and saw a kid get shot, he was running down the street pleading for help from people drivin' by and nobody paid him no mind until I chased him down to get him to stop before he bled out. Later that night the detectives told me that the kid didn't make it.
