Could you do a double wall on the inside layer? I sweat through my current leather holster. Condensation builds up on the gun, and if I don't wipe it off with oil as soon as I see it, it will rust.

I can , just like the black one you see for the xdm . I just reinforced the mouth and sweat band areas . Past the ejection port is all single layer . I can do double layer all the way down on the backside , take a while to get it broke in and will be really thick as well is the only draw back. Plus with double layer it will be hard to get some good detent . It can be done though .

I have been working with Dirk , a local cch instructor , and a few others here lately on new designs that not only look good but are functional for everyone . At first glance you may think that there are no real changes , but small changes have been made here and there which has impacted the way the holster works quite a bit . First thing I did was give it a little more cant to the pistol for concealment and positioning . The rear wing was extended a little more to wrap around your hip to hold the butt of the gun closer to your body . The front wing was raised and thinned out just a bit to reduce material . The front wing is meant for up and down stability only . The rear wing does the rest . I trimmed the trigger guard area to allow for an easy draw no matter how you come at the pistol . Dirk has a draw that comes from behind , but mine comes from straight above , some come from below the gun and grab it on the way up . This cut should cater to all . Its double reinforced front and back , one handed reholstering is a breeze . The rough side is out on the back which keeps the holster glued to your hip . I have had this one built for 3 or 4 days now and wear it everywhere I go all day long . I have done a few practice draws and reholsters with no issues . I honestly think that this one is a winner .

I ordered a set of tuckable clips and a set of V Clips from Crossbreed.

The tuckable clips are slightly shorter than the original leather loops so it set the ride height absolutely perfect and now its a lot easier to put on and off.

Insta, you should consider clips as an option (the V Clips are made from Kydex and I haven't installed them yet ... I just got them so that if I end up changing jobs in the near future and have to go way deep cover with my carry I'll be prepared).
