And it's certainly not the first time she demonstrated her ignorance of American history and her grasp of world affairs is pathetic.

I don't understand her appeal at all....

How anyone can consider her a viable president is beyond my comprehension.

If she couldn't stand the heat of being a media target as Governor how does anyone think she could handle the pressure of being president?!?!

No, I'm not a democrat, I consider myself an independent of very conservative bent. Good Lord, I hope the Republicans can find somebody worth a damn to run... But Palin ain't it! Obviously IMNSHO.

    Thanks for letting me rant....
    Seriously? An idiot?

So what have you accomplished in your life that qualifies you to pass judgment on her intellect? How many states have you governed? In how many cities have you been elected mayor?

So she bumbled a few lines in a speech. Big deal. Every president I can remember has done that. Even the "smart" ones like Obama.

The leftist media likes to portray Palin, and every other conservative, as a bumbling moron and most people lack the critical thinking necessary to realize that. If the media started telling everyone the sky was pink, eventually you'd have a bunch of people running around talking about how pink the sky is.

They're masters at this and also convinced everyone that Bush was an idiot. A guy with an Ivy League graduate degree, fighter pilot, manager of several businesses, etc...

Palin may, or may not, be the sharpest knife in the drawer. But when was the last time any mainstream media outlet mentioned how smart a viable conservative candidate was? Yeah...I can't remember either.

She wouldn't be my first choice as republican candidate for president. But I'm certain she could do just as well as Obama or any number of other candidates on either side of the fence.

Yeah...Palin's an idiot all right. All the way to the bank. I wish I was that stupid. [/sarcasm]

And Ron Paul is a disaster in the making as president.

Bumbled! Please...Warned the BRITISH, Paton was a Nazi and Lee was a Union man, its a downright offensive misunderstanding of American history! She said it, the Media didn't put those words (almost, more like noises) into her mouth. I take pride in my history, and expect the same from someone looking to run this country.

What I have I done that qualifies me to be president, well-

    - A. I'm not running for president, so I am not exposed to the same scrutiny. That logic falls flat, the next time someone makes a slide at Pres. Obama, I expect you to jump on that one, no one can say he hasn't done a lot that many of us haven't, unless someone on here can be called Dr. Professor Senator Esq. I didn't know about.

    - B. I passed fifth grade, I haven't cheated on my wife, I don't hate America, I view service as something I do for the people of this country, not something to make me famous, I won't change my opinion by miracle depending on what voting block I need to get elected, and I can read. Vote BigMat.

I should add, I am frustrated. Pres. Obama has lied about the things that mattered to me, he has done nothing for the economy of note, and he has betrayed his base ( not that it affects me, but a little honor would be nice) and more. The economy is in shambles, the war drags on, and the light at the end of the tunnel grows dimmer. He should be easy to beat, and yet, the GOP puts up a gaggle of turds and expects me to be happy! There are smart accomplished people in the GOP and in third parties, and none of them run, we get cheaters, patronizers, and fools...and Ron Paul, who I can't figure out for the life of me. Ugh

Do the same rules apply for criticizing all of our elected, public Masters, or is it just the "conservative" ones that we need to be equal to or more successful then?

Did anyone one here graduated from Columbia University and Harvard Law School and then teach constitutional law for 12 years? If not, you are not worthy(according to the, "you have not done anything to equal the one being criticized rule") to criticize B. Hussein Obamie and his "knowledge" of the law and Constitution, because he has done these things and you have not.

Sorry, it is not my rule. I'm just trying to enforce it.

Going back to the original post, what about Jim Demint? It's looking like he might announce and he's promising. One of only 10 that voted against the extension of the mis-named "Patriot Act" and an A+ rating from GOA.

As for Palin, if by chance she does get the nomination, look at her running mate since he or she will be the president after she takes her ball and goes home 10 or 11 months into her term. Maybe then she can go on another bus tour.

I call it "obsessed with celebrities syndrome" Most droll boring dumbass American citizens only know celebrities. They're too stupid to pay attention to real current events. They just know "American Idol" fags, or Skoochie or whatever that pigs name is from the "Jersey thing".

That is a major problem today and politicians and business's capitolize on it. All kinds of shenanigans are being pulled because everyone wants to be entertained and not have to worry about world affairs, "cuz I jus wanna feel good and jus wan the govments ta take care of me"

And in my opinion, that is what Palin is doing. Can't blame her for making a buck....

I like Palin but only in that she brought a renewed vigor to the republican party. I don't like her for president, but I think she would be just as good as Barry. Will she run for president? Probably, it brings more attention to her and more speaking engagements - basically she becomes more Palin.

Now the problem with Palin is that she has really helped put the Tea Party on the map. This is a good thing because it's the "we're fed up" conservatives, but the Tea Party is a bad thing IMHO because it's splitting the vote all over the map - several elections were lost to dems because the battle was between Tea Party and Republican. I think the Tea Party is given far more credit than they deserve and that's gone straight to their heads, drunk with popularity and flush with cash. If they become the counter to MoveOn.Org and those types then great, but if they split the vote then we're screwed.

Romney will not have a chance (again), Paul will not have a chance (again), Palin will get close but not get past the primary (but guarantee she'll be a third party and that will split the vote). I'm, right now, in for Pawlenty, but we'll see where that goes in the coming months.

I concur. Palin is an attempt to sway the real TeaPartiers to the GOP
