this day in 1944 was one of the single most important days of the 20th century.
God bless the men that made that day, for they had a hand in shaping the lives of every single one of us.

My uncle was there on normandy that day. he was wounded and awarded the purple heart. I never really understood the impact it had on his life until I joined the Marine Corps. he never spoke about it to anyone in the family until in his last days before he passed .....i sat next to his bed and he shared alot with me. I was honored.![]()
