Default Anyone else yearn to be able to commute like this?

If I was good enough on a bike, I'd do it all the time!

Well, if the video is real, the guy has really good control. However, he is easily the dumbest fucking rider I have ever seen and I have had the pleasure of riding with people who did shit like standing on their tanks. I don't even know what to say about that dipshits stupid actions. It isn't cool to chance other peoples lives for stupid video like that. I wonder if someone will air his last video when he clips a mirror being a fucking idiot like that...

That was a pretty straight street he was riding on.

He was more of a stupid rider than a good rider. He didn't do one thing that I could not have done when I was 12.

It's definitely not a matter of "if" with this guy, but "when".
If I have to explain it in any more detail than that I've already failed.

To fly between stopped cars like that really pulls your bike around, I've been there and done it (stupid, I know) so to do that into on coming would be hard I would have to imagine unless he had a damper put on his bars, still, it would be hard. Oh, and he is still a fucking moron...

I know it is a "when", I just meant "if" someone will post his final video when he goes splat.

I wouldn't wanna see that view from the bike...but it's fun to watch on a YouTube video.

And, yeah, someone will be sponging him off the road soon, no doubt.

I have never, and will never ride like that. Sure it's fun to cruise the interstate at over 90MPH, but there are dangers that come with riding outside of normal limits and control. Sure a rider may be good but the best advice I've ever received, and given, when it comes to motorcycles was: "When you crash [not if] your bones do not break... no, they shatter." Thankfully I never took a digger on my CBR600RR *knock on wood*

If I had the skill set I would definitely ride like greased lighting in the appropriate conditions, a race track. Most of these guys have nothing on the pro's.

A few friends have joined the MRA thinking their street shenanigans would translate to skill on the track, they never lasted a season.

Not always true... I made out with just some fractures
Sure, going 100+ down the interstate is tons of fun, but there's a time and place (practically, not legally speaking), and that is NOT when there are other motorists on the road. Now, if we're talking about long flat stretches of highway in CO, AZ, WY, etc. with nothing and nobody around, that's a different story.

My rule of thumb... if I'll be riding in the city, wear a helmet. On the highway, it can stay at home.
I figure if I lay it down in the city, it'll probably be around or under 40mph and unless its a really bad accident then it'll likely be survivable. On the highway, where I'd hit the ground/median/gravel patch/etc. at 70 and usually much higher, and other drivers are doing the same speed and can't stop very quickly, a helmet ain't gonna do chit so may as well leave it at home and enjoy the ride.
