All in due time Muzzleflash, first things first! Id love to get a can or 2 down the road, is the paperwork a pain in the a$$ for purchasing a supressor? Is it hard to get one? or is it just a case of filling paperwork and waiting?

As for the ClassIII, ill have to save more than pennies for that!

Thanks for the link. From what i have been reading it is easier/quicker to get a ClassIII, or a SBR than it is to get a can. All these "forms" gets quite confusing, but im sure after a while i will figure it out.

No such thing as class 3 it makes no difference what kind of NFA weapon you want they all require the same paper work.

Ok, so you're saying that if i want a suppresor, or a SBR, or a MG, that all of them require the same paperwork?
But the wait periods are all different?
Still kinda confused if you cant tell

i'm fairly sure it all goes on a form 4. unless you want to turn something into a sbr then thats a form 1. i have only done a MG myself so i could be wrong

I was trying to make it simple as possible there are two forms. First is a form 1 that is what you fill out to personally make an NFA weapon except MG's they are banned for us to make. Then there is a Form 4 which is what you fill out to transfer an already existing NFA weapon to yourself.

Both forms require the same process there is no difference as far as your end go's. If you purchase something from somebody out of state then you have to have a dealer like Alan transfer it in state then form 4 it to you.

The best thing for you to do is decide what you want and when your ready there is plenty of us here that can walk you through it. We have Ryan, Karl, Me, Alan, MP5, Muzzleflash and Richard just to name a few.
