We did this for a buddy of mine last year.

it's about a 11-12 hour drive and if you can go in the middle of the week you can get hotels (on Fremont Street) for like $20 a night.

The sporting clays and BBQ thing sounded pretty good to me. But then, what do I know, it was 38 years ago when I got married!

    Have fun whatever you do.

Thanks for the ideas guys, I'm taking these ideas down so my buddy and I can figure out what we'll do. We were also thinking of paintball. Anyone know how much admission + rental + paint is these days? Some of the ideas of Vegas might be a bit too farfetched for us. I highly doubt we'll be able to afford it.

Ok looks like we decided on doing paintball the following Sunday. We'll do the party on Saturday night and have a couple options of renting out a community center to a friend's apartment complex.

Anyone ever done fund-raising of some sort? We're going to be on a seriously limited budget, and need all the help we can get.

Just make sure EVERYONE kicks in dough. Force them if you have to. If not you will pick up most of the tab. Best Man's job can get real expensive, real quick!

One word... Roofalin! Tell them you're going to spice up the night with some ecstasy (oops wrong pill) and drop the pills in their drinks- that's how they did in the Hangover.

honestly for mine we just drove to chicago (the wedding was in illinois), went to a white sox game, went to some hole in the wall pancake place at like 1 am which was hilarious, spent the night in a hotel, went to six flags the next day, then to another white sox game that night and to giordano's pizza, then drove back. it was only me, my brother in law, brother, best friend and another friend but it was a blast. but then again i don't drink or go to strip clubs, so probably doesn't seem all that exciting. to me, you are going to have the most fun if you do things everyone likes anyways. we are all huge baseball fans and most of us grew up playing together, and everyone likes theme parks. just try to see what everyone has in common. how many are going?
