I'm just going off of what a lawyer told me, obviously B&E is a crime, but he said the law says "in addition to breaking in" they have to commit or be suspected of committing a crime. Some situations require more than just "he came into my house, I feared he was going to rape my 11yr old daughter so I shot him." Yes there are a lot of law abiding citizens getting the shaft when it comes to legal proceedings against their lawful use of deadly force, but as far as the law is concerned here you "should never feel as if you're being forced against a wall."
