Now dont get me wrong, I am not attacking you Ronin because I know this is the way its written. But its Pretty damned stupid to say "They have to commit a crime, or you suspect that they intend to commit a crime. " after the illegally enter your home... which is a crime.

I'm just going off of what a lawyer told me, obviously B&E is a crime, but he said the law says "in addition to breaking in" they have to commit or be suspected of committing a crime. Some situations require more than just "he came into my house, I feared he was going to rape my 11yr old daughter so I shot him." Yes there are a lot of law abiding citizens getting the shaft when it comes to legal proceedings against their lawful use of deadly force, but as far as the law is concerned here you "should never feel as if you're being forced against a wall."

What's more telling is that almost 1 in 11 find nothing wrong with firing him for defending his own life...

I'd like to take some of these naive liberal idiots(possibly the most redundant phrase I've ever typed) and drop them off in a real ghetto... think South Oakland, Compton, Watts, North Central Detroit... and make 'em walk out on their own, with nothing to defend themselves but their righteous indignation...

I think it is great that he did what he did, to bad he did not confirm a hit. I also think it is very funny that the guys gun would not work, and thankfuly it did not also could have had a different outcome. Guy probably had a bryco LOL, hopefuly he wins, and who knows maybe it will happen again when the guy that fired him is working. I bet he will have a different view on guns then.

Well said, that's my favorite Jefferson quote, and pretty much the words I live by when it comes to guns, protection, and crime.
