    Default Secure Communities and Lickmypooper

Man...had to "rub my eyes" to make sure I was NOT misunderstanding this Denverpost.com editorial.

We hope the governor's effort to get the "real facts" on the Secure Communities program isn't an attempt to delay it.

    EXTRACTS:

We hope Gov. John Hickenlooper's pledge to evaluate the operation of a federal immigration program in Colorado isn't the opening note of a song that other Democratic governors have begun to sing

...It would be very disappointing if Hickenlooper's efforts to get the "real facts" on Secure Communities were to turn into a declaration that the state wouldn't participate, as has been the case recently in Massachusetts, Illinois and New York.

...It's not a state's choice whether the federal government enforces immigration laws, and the governors who have declared they are "opting out" of the program are pandering to vocal constituencies and not considering the big picture.

... Critics...say the government has, in practice, deported too many people whose only transgression is being in the country illegally. (Uhhh..."critics"...yeah...critics...how about we just continue to define them with a term that is fitting...pieces-o-shit. "But...but...they are ONLY here illegally...and...we are deporting too many of them.")

We don't object to Gov. Hickenlooper taking a closer look at the operation of Secure Communities in Colorado. However, we hope this isn't a harbinger of a misguided attempt to put up a roadblock to federal enforcement of federal immigration laws.
So...Guv'na Lickmypooper...what are we going to do? Go the way of liberal shit-holes like NY, MA and IL or...? We, the LEGAL FOLKS, will be here waiting for your answer.

While absolutely disgusting, I'm not surprised. Seems like Dick-in-pooper's whole life goal is to have happy little criminals overrun our state. Come to the country illegally and they serve you everything on a silver platter, but God help us legal folk if we park our damn cars in the wrong spot. Denver is so ass-backward I can't even hardly stand to look at the skyline anymore.

I'm getting quite disgusted with the way things are going with immigration. Where is the reform? Not even Gov. Bush made much headway when he was in office, and now we really can't expect much from a guy who's father doesn't even live here! Has anyone been to the ER lately? How many people don't speak English there? And don't get me started with the DMV, jeez, I can't understand half the talk between people anymore because it's not English. And then the illegals that hang around Wal-Mart and other stores waiting for their trucks to show up and cart them off to a jobsite that pays under the table.... We should have tougher laws cracking down on employers that hire borderjumpers, like for instance, 5 years in prison and denial for 25 years to even start a business again. Maybe that way people will go "Sorry Jose, I have to hire people who are here legally so taxes get paid and America doesn't become a 3rd world nation."
Makes me sick, and I really need to hurry up and turn 35 so I can run for President and enact my border fix: Operation Mine Move- where we relocate all the dug up mines from Afghanistan and Iraq and move them to the border between us and Mexico... after two or three go airborne with limbs in all directions then the rest will think it might not be worth it.
