First time CMP

I just sent off the envelope with everything needed to order 3 M1 Garands from CMP. I mailed from Afghanistan and it is the 11 of Jun. I am hoping to get them by the end of July when I get home. I have been Dreaming about doing this for over 15 years.

Get ready to learn all about the M1. Since you're getting 3- you'll have great fun learning about the parts, swapping parts as necessary to match the right part with the right rifle. You may even get an opportunity to swap a barrel, as the right barrel for one of them may be on another. You'll prob be able to match up the wood better, based on color, grain and condition. You did a good thing.

Ya I figured that 3 ways a good number. Can never have to many guns and M1 Garands are probable my favorite one out there. I am very excited about this. It feels like I am a kid waiting for Christmas.

Mailed my letter off to CMP on the 11th from Afghanistan. Today I got my email from CMP telling me they got it and gave me my order number. 28 JUN plus max of 60 days brings me to 27 Aug for ship date. So at the latest I should see them by the first week of September.

Today is the 13th of July. They charged my card! On the pending orders section it says "ship date TBD". But they still charged my card! So hopefully that means shipping is coming soon!

Yup- that's what that means. They'll come to you via Fedex within a week.

I just got the shipping info!!!!! 3 Days till they arrive. I will still be in Afghanistan when they get to my house. I am going to have to have my buddy go up there to take pics for me. Man this is so exciting!

Took me 15 yrs to do it. Steady work will come sooner or later. I hope it happens sooner for you.

I can't wait. I am told you can only buy 4 a year. I saved my last one for my trip to Camp Perry. I am going to hand pick a correct grade one there and all the ammo I can buy.
