    They're awesome. After that, I'm sold, I definitely want one. The recoil is lighter than a .22, although that could be due to the weight of the AR. Perfect varmint gun IMO.

    I came really close to buying one of these uppers a couple of weeks ago. 50 rounds, bottom eject, minimal recoil.... just screams "fun".

    A regular 5.56 mag cut down even with top of the lower receiver makes a nice brass catcher. I also drilled some holes in the side of the mag below where it sticks out of the lower to vent any gas going down that way.

    I also notched my mag hold open catch so I could manually lock the bolt back. I was able to notch it without removing the catch. It still works normal for a 5.56 upper.

    They are a lot of fun.
