I can't remember the name of the book but I read it a couple of months ago. It was about this guy and his family being among a few of the last that lived there.

I really like the Alone in the Wilderness book, badly made me want a 1903 and a cabin in Alaska.

Oh the things I'd do for a piece of property and a life like that. My cousin and her husband live in Anchorage, have a hunting/SHTF cabin out in the wilderness... almost every day it crosses my mind that I should just drop everything, move up there, and offer to work as their "housekeeper" at the cabin.

Dick lived life to the fullest. great video. and he had the balls to start his adventure at 52 years old. sure he aquired a lot of his skills throughout his early years, but to just do what he did at his age is ,,well ,,something most men can't even dream about.
