I listened to that one after, just because I forgot how it went.

Going to use the colorado quit program. Set my quit date as August 1st. have already started cutting back a bit. Going to try the patch this time as I have tried cold turkey a few times and lasted a couple of weeks max. for the last couple of months I have just had my first smoke in the morning as usual and thought "what the Fu&k am I doing, this is disgusting". Time to go after almost 20 years. I'm done this time. I will be a non smoker dammit and I mean it.

Congrats on the anniversary. It's been a little over two years for me. I used Chantix though, too many years as a two pack a day smoker.

The urge is still there, but not as strong. You soon realize that the urge is all in your head. Your body doesn't really need the nicotine, but the addiction will keep trying to seduce you.

    Today is 6 weeks!

I have to be honest, I am really surprised that I was able to do this. I am also pretty proud of myself for quitting. I am already starting to feel better, the cravings come and go, but I just try and think of something else and it goes away.

Keep it going! I gave them up August 25th, 2007. I started smoking at 13 and was almost 50 when I quit. It was tough, but if I can anyone can.

    Congratulations!
