I havnt really noticed food tasting any different yet. I do like not having to stop for cigarettes every other day and the money I am saving.

Yeah I did gain a few pounds but not as much as I thought I was gonna. I am trying to exercise and eat better now! I'm so glad I quit though!

I smoked for over thirty years; the last few years it was two-to-three packs a day. I quit December 13, 2004, and I didn't really think it was too hard. However, I would NOT suggest anyone using the method I accidentally used. Briefly, I was hospitalized with other things on my mind. After four plus months, I left my habit, my right leg, the hearing in my right ear, and various other body parts and pieces when I was released.

    Hang tough guys and congrats.

    ,,,,,,,,,,,,ya bunch o' QUITERS!...........

Ok, so the day has arrived. I had set my quit day for August first a few weeks ago and now it's finally here.

    Patch.........Check
    Outragous amount of chewing gum.........Check
    Sunflower seeds..........Check
    Jalapeno salsa sunflower seeds..........Check
    Willingness to quit..........Amounts in excess

So far so good today. It was strange driving to work without a smoke. Also strange not to go outside while here at work. Instead of getting away from my desk and smoking, I'm making a lap around the building.

I'm sneezing like crazy today. Is this normal? Or is there some sort of pollen or something in the air today?

I just wanna say good job y'all.
I just started a new job and I can't chew while doing it... woke up late the other day and went in without taking a dip before hand, then spent the next 8 hours putting up with idiot customers and even dumber coworkers... not good at all. The first day I started I brought my manager home with me, she stayed till 5 am or so and got to know me pretty well , now requires me to wake up early enough to chew before I go in lol.
