Well there are very little details on this. However this is not jolly olde England and we are still allowed to photograph our Police (for now) and unless this guy was some dangerous criminal being taken in on a felony warrant its pretty hard to defend DPDs actions here. Same with the other incident where the guy is talking on his cell phone. I was an LEO years ago and if you don't have a thick skin, and an abundance of patience, your in the wrong line of work. Its great to throw money at these people but I believe firings are a more appropriate course of action, after all its the peoples money they are using for these payouts.

I agree, we shouldn't be paying out people for Police actions or missteps, but be punishing the officers that do wrong. I would like to know the full story on why the DPD officers went after this guy. Reminds me of the incident in Miami not too long ago where the guy had a cop point a gun at him for filming a DUI stop/shoot out on his cell phone. I swear these bad cops are making all the rest look like Gestapo.

catch a dirty cop fucking up and breaking the law he/she needs equal treatment under the law.

If I Beat th fuck out of someone while they are illegally detained I am charged with Kidnapping and aggravated assault. If found guilty, I get surprise buttseks for 10-40 years.

....and they keep saying the money is coming out of a special fund, etc. Hogwash, it's still taxpayer's money no matter what pocket it comes out of.
