That thought has crossed my mind a few times as of late; I love the simplicity, reliability, and the pure genius of the mechanical function of a good revolver.

don't own a revolver right now. every few months I go and drool over the 7 shot S&W .357 I want. One day it I will buy it.

I think somebody was making a new updated semi-auto revolver some years ago. If you ever suffer from excess $'s this would be a cure.
