Sweet. Been thinking about a pistol build on one of my lowers. Just haven't researched all the technicalities yet. There was a box on the form when I purchased them for long gun, handgun, or "other" and the dealer checked "other".
Follow the build and ask questions, Let me make the mistakes for you if you want. :-)
I figure it should work much like my first AR15 build except a different buffer, and shorter barrel/gas system.
I also heard that the gas system tends to affect cycling. Hopefully I'll overcome that.
Will definitely keep an eye on your post. Assembly should be no different than a rifle but I will be curious to see what sort of issues present themselves as far as reliable functioning goes.
Good luck.![]()
Happy Father's Day to me! I got a Stag Lower. :-)

Yep, happy father's day to you. Keep updating the post. Thanks.
Might I suggest a Noveske sling end plate for this? I have them on two of my rifle and I love them. Would make a nice way to quickly attach a single point sling if you wanted. This is a picture I swiped off the internet...

I went through several sling plates before I finally settled on the Noveske. The first one was an off brand that I didn't like at all. The second was the Magpul but I didn't care for the metal ring flopping around when the sling wasn't being used. I have heard of people cutting the ring off and just attaching something to the bar the ring was on but I just didn't like that either. Next, I found a GG&G that I liked a lot but it was definitely for right hand use only and I wanted something that was more for ambidextrous use. The Noveske gives me the ability to quickly attach or detach a sling without having anything extra rattling around when the sling is off and having a rotating QD sling swivel mounted in the center of the rifle lets me transition from strong to weak side shoulder easily.
But by all means, run what you want.![]()
