Well, they probably can't do anything if the PD did show up. $20 and a few minutes will get you a medical MJ card just about anywhere in town. PD shows up, guy says yeah, I got a card. PD says ok, moves on.

Talk to the home owners assoc. they might be able to help, but probably not much they can do either. Similar if the guy next door just wants to smoke a cigar all day, it's his town house and back area to do as he wishes within the limits of the town house assoc. rules.

Get some of the fake skunk scent at the sporting goods store, keep putting it out in the back area and see if they change their mind about being out there smoking their weed.

wish you luck. Good fences make good neighbors, except when it comes to smoke or barking dogs.

It's just come to a point where I feel so helpless in trying to do anything, but if I take it a "step further" I'm in the wrong.

I vote for going over there when you are in a calm and rational mood and trying to reason with them. I'm definitely on your side on this issue and if I was in your shoes I would be pissed. I really don't want to see, hear, or smell anything from my neighbors. Your story reminds me why I will never live in an apartment or townhome again. Hell, when I decide to move out of my current house in "town" I will probably but a place in the country with plenty of land to put a little distance between me and the neighbors.

I second the contacting the association idea. It very well may be a violation of their rent agreement, especially if it is bothering others. That being said, just talking to them might do a world of good.

That maybe the only solution to this situation.
Our babysitter is actually on the HOA board, (total right wing wholesome Christian) but I'm not so sure what they can do. But I will talk to her tomorrow about it. Just have to find a way to stay calm while expressing my emotions

Assuming you are not familiar with how a bulldozer operates, maybe you could rent one and if you happened to hop off of it with it in gear and it "accidentally" went through their home then they would be forced to move elsewhere.

    Hey, accidents happen.

Total great idea, but since I live next to fuck bag, (townhouse) my stuff would also be in that wreckage. But then again that's what insurance is for

They're all paranoid right? You can say something like, "I smelled an odor... now, I don't want to get anyone in trouble, but I need my kids to not be smelling that..." maybe it'll scare 'em into fixing it.

Maybe there's some air filtration that'll solve it?

Seems like you're making a pretty big deal over this. I don't like the smell of weed or cigarettes, but I know better than to think that a neighbor smoking it next door is going to hurt my kid. If you've actually seen smoke coming out of the sliding glass door, they must be smoking A LOT. I can at least understand your frustration.

Perhaps you can just suggest that they try using more edibles so you don't have to smell it. Or just act like adults and use cocaine instead.

Once upon a time, a friend of mine had big dogs and there was a lot of dog shit in his back yard. He decided to rake it all up and just burn it. Wasn't as good an idea as he thought it would be, stunk to God Almighty.

Maybe if the wind was blowing just right from your yard to their backdoor.....

Oh, nevermind....I just saw the "townhouse" part.
