Seems like you're making a pretty big deal over this. I don't like the smell of weed or cigarettes, but I know better than to think that a neighbor smoking it next door is going to hurt my kid. If you've actually seen smoke coming out of the sliding glass door, they must be smoking A LOT. I can at least understand your frustration.

Perhaps you can just suggest that they try using more edibles so you don't have to smell it. Or just act like adults and use cocaine instead.

Once upon a time, a friend of mine had big dogs and there was a lot of dog shit in his back yard. He decided to rake it all up and just burn it. Wasn't as good an idea as he thought it would be, stunk to God Almighty.

I will put in another vote for the man to man talk give you an idea of the other tenants personality. Total douche than start figuring out ways to recipricate the favor. If he is favorable in trying to remedy the situation than he is decent people and you guys can figure out a compromise.

gift wrap it and put by his door with a note that says

"Dear neighbor,

The continuous smell of marijuana from your apartment has become a nuisance. please use this incense to mask the smell. Thank you.

I have no problem with people smoking cigs, pot or whatever. I just don't want to have to smell it.
