No I know you're not trying to make enemies. I've been involved with martial arts for some years myself.. took a bit of a hiatus, but I'm back at it.. no where near 25 years though.. Not old enough for that yet

It's the beauty of it all, we can have different view points. Then have a beer. (I'm having this white rascal stuff atm... it's a bit weird) But good in an odd way.

While I have been lucky to avoid any confrontations in the street, where actual force was needed, and not just the threat of force... it's why we train.

That is the beauty of it, well almost, I can't go have a beer with you guys (distance). I have gone on so many hunts but only brought in 27 people, I think you guys would have a little fun doing it as I did... Especially you monky.

I have a few shotguns. They're for home defense. The first round is a bean bag round. It then goes to 00 buck.. and finally slugs. Hopefully I never have to use those...

I have gone outside and confronted would be car thieves, with a shotgun pointed at them. There were 3 of them, + a driver in their mini-van (if only mom knew what her car was being used for)... The safety was off, my finger was in the ready (what kind of idiot runs w/ his finger on the trigger) I didn't shoot anyone.. intentionally or negligently. It wasn't my car, but god damn it i'd expect my neighbor to do the same for me.. if it were my house or my property..

As far as adrenaline goes.. I'm not sure how much experience you have with it sneakerd.. but it doesn't make you go insane and lose all motor function and mental control..

Monky- I'm really not trying to make any enemies here- nothing personal, I just have a different viewpoint. As far as adrenaline goes, I was involved in martial arts for some 25 years, taught for the last 10, until my right knee called it quits about 5 years ago. If it matters, my personal tally of "taking out the trash", is 2 pursegrabbers and 1 carjacker. All in broad daylight, didn't need a gun for any of it. The carjacker was about 5-6 years ago and I was interviewed by 9News.

You do realize that you may be dealing with persons that have spent a majority or all of their adult lives in a combat zone, right?
I Don't mean to belittle your experiences but being shot at by people that REALLY want you dead everyday for years on end tends to give you a different perspective on things.

I have nothing on combat vets- pretty much my best friend in CO is TDYRanger- who is a combat vet and tabbed Army Ranger. Happy to take a chill pill if necessary.

Honestly, if I'm going to draw down on a shithead, I don't want to be wondering if it's bean bags or buckshot in the chamber. If u are on the business end, it's not gonna be pretty. I know alot of people that say " I want a shotgun to "rack" and scare the criminal"....sorry, I don't give that second chance.

I would also go outside with a collapsible baton and maybe CC, if the group come out with guns, I'll end it.

Btw, you guys are hilarious to watch..
