Default First time to Buffalo Creek

I had my first trip to Buffalo Creek today, great day for it. The setting is fantastic but a little out of the way, then again so is CRC and BC has trees.

It was a highpower shoot, wanted to get a feel for the range before the big shoot on the 4th so I only visited the HP range but they also have a pistol range.

Eric, are you shooting a highpower match there on the 4th? Is that the state championship match by any chance?

Shot many a match up there. Chilly in the morning, hot in the afternoon. Watch the wind, it comes around the bend in the valley and fishtails and rolls every which way. Use your spotting scope focused half the distance to the target and read the mirage. It's more reliable than the flags, all six of them point to a completely different direction at once...

I am Pete, will do the CO Service Rifle on the 2nd and the CMP Leg on the 4th.

The wind was interesting, when the flags point at each other you know you know nothing...
