Default Aurora homeowner shoots, kills intruder

    http://www.9news.com/acm_news.aspx?O...7-c589c01ca7bf
Aurora Police Detective Bob Friel said the intruder pushed an air conditioner out of the window and was trying to enter the home in the 1700 block of North Fulton Street when the homeowner fired a 12-gauge shotgun.

The intruder died en route to a hospital after the homeowner called 911, Friel said.

Be interesting to see how this works out.

My money is on "good shoot" if the facts don't significantly change.

From what they have said on the news, it was a good shoot, and the gene pool is a little cleaner.

Too bad they don't also send a cleaning crew to take care of the mess also.

There are companies out there that specialize in doing that sort of cleanup. Most will work with your insurance company too. Most insurance will cover it since the 'mess' was caused by a burglar. [roll] Karl themorbidone Mann. :P

My low life Insurance, would then jack up my rates, or claim that it didn't meet deductibles. Gawd I hate ins. First the burgler low lifes nail ya, then you get nailed by the insurance co. With "Good Nieghbors" like that, who needs enemies?

Hope he gets off though. My personal feelings are, and my house has been broken into twice, is that anyone forcing entry is already considered by me to be armed and dangerous.

Less and less insurance companies are paying for clean up as part of your home owners insurance. I guy I hire to work for me also has several other jobs, and he and his wife do clean ups as one of their businesses. Some apartments they won't take calls to because the management company jacks them around about payment. Most of their calls are for suicides, they never get the high profile cases.

IMO, the homeowner should sue the perp's estate for the ammo and cost of cleanup.

Did you notice everyone in the video is still using the pejorative phrase "Make my day"? This is the moniker the opposition gave it when it passed in the late 80s and the liberal media laps it up and uses it to this day. I prefer "Castle Doctrine" myself.

Anyone notice how the media went out of its way to ID the shooter? I'm surprised there were no interviews with the staff at school, maybe only because its summer break.

I did like the statement his neighbor made: "It's a good day for him." Guess so. He's alive after all and a BG is permanently off the streets.
