AR Magwell engraving in Colorado Springs

Damn, I just talked to a guy last week about this very issue... I can't remember who/where, but I believe it was in CS- I was a bit down because I was looking in Denver, so I'll ask him again and let you know.

A denver place just quoted me a custom job. setup + 2 magwells engraved $100. Seems reasonable. I'll Post pics if you want when they done.

Here is the breakdown:

My one Receiver for the magwell engraved is total of $90. I think that is pretty fair. She said the second one is going to cost me another 40 because the graphic is already created with the first one.


The minimum cost to engrave a gun part is $50.00 which covers text only in one area. The total cost for engraving would vary depending on how many areas they want engraved and whether they want just text or text plus an image and how much work I have to put into creating the image they want. I can give actual quotes once I see what they want engraved, what area the engraving is on and how large the engraving will be. Here is a breakdown of base charges for engraving on gun parts:

Laser Set up Fee: $30.00 per area of engraving
Text Set up Fee: $10.00 per area of engraving
Image Set up Fee: $40.00 per image but could be more depending on what I have to work with
Laser Fees: $10.00 per area, could be more if the area is larger

I can only engrave on flat areas (not the barrel etc) and the gun part must be able to fit in the laser – no longer than 36”.

I'll post pics when done... I am dropping it off on the 6th.

This is what I got back! I was VERY pleased... turnaround was 48 hours, and total from graphic design to getting it engraved. 90 bucks!!! Plus Mary was very nice and wanted to make sure I was pleased!

12/1/20 UPDATE, Mary is great!! pix below and two day turnaround. Resized the graphics I gave her by computer file to best fit. Will use her for all my engraving.
