Extremists + Montana = Safe

Just found this on the Yahoo main page and thought it kinda goes along with what was being discussed here a week or so ago. Pretty interesting stuff how Montana has all these extremists and crazies, but mostly they tolerate it... unless they cross the line. Some of it does make sense.

Experts say the number of radical right groups is growing across the country because of the poor state of the economy, rising immigration and fears that President Barack Obama's administration has an agenda to curtail individual liberties.

But when does tolerance lead to animosity?

Fisher said the Kalispell community does have its limits, as Gharst found out when he showed the pro-Nazi movie. But groups espousing their own views on government are tolerated.
"Montana has a live and let live mentality, and respect for each other's privacy and beliefs," the mayor said. "Sometimes that leads to people with beliefs outside the norm finding refuge in the Flathead Valley."

Dammit! I fight right into all 3 of those! Looks like I'm a right wing, Anti-gov extremist.... better go to another gun show and buy up some more stuff and find out where the nearest survivalist expo is... wait, I actually do want to go to one of those.

Here's a contradiction for you-

A free society is self destructive because it allows those who don't believe in freedom to have freedom. The unfree types will pass restrictions on free people.

There are many examples of liberals moving into an area and gaining enough votes to gain control. Then they start 'improving' things by voting in restrictions.

The liberals and conservative both want to restrict our freedom, they just restrict different freedoms.

In theory the constitution is supposed to stop the tyranny of the majority from taking our rights.

I'll quit rambling now.

That is so true... and right now no one is really seeing these blatant violations of what the constitution was put in place for. I grew very sad sitting on base 1700mi away watching Denver become home to the DNC and it showed that our state had just turned over to the dark side. But regardless of party affiliation I see it now: Freedom is packing her bags and heading for places that aren't CO. We're losing this war and it seems like sooner or later there are going to be more restrictions than freedoms, and if nothing happens we just idly sit by while tyranny comes up behind us and get's ready for penetration.
