A little light reading from FAIR:
    http://www.fairus.org/site/News2?pag...s_iv_ctrl=1007

I would be fully surprised if they are fined a cent or if that reporter was deported
Its habit, so I have to say:

FAIR was founded by radical enviros (John Tanton chief among them) whose real agenda is to stop population growth. You will note from FAIR and FAIR's sister-organization (also founded by Tanton) the Center for Immigration Studies explicitly Marxist economic analysis (ie more people in a country means less wealth for everyone, an application of the Marxist "pie" view of a national economy and patently false.)

I don't see anything grossly incorrect with that particular page linked, but I am always wary of citing anything from either FAIR or CIS (or any other org Tanton is involved in) as, everyone knows, enviros are not at all above outright lies to advance their agenda.

Its funny how the whole immigration issue has made such strange bedfellows. Its very funny to see rabid conservatives cite and praise people who have, in other contexts, advocated for enforced population control measures and worked for the Sierra Club on their population control subcommittee (tho he left when he realized the Sierra Club wasn't radical enough for him.)

There's also a strong argument that Tanton is racist, which would not be surprising as I've yet to meet a really thorough Marxist who isn't also a dyed in the wool racist. Biological determinism does a lot to add credence to racist ideology in that way.

I guess I missed where I called you racist.

I called John Tanton a racist because he's a biological determinist and a marxist who has said some pretty shady things in public about hispanics in general, which I give more weight because of those beliefs.

I like how the instant I call a spade a spade everyone runs out like I'm calling them a racist. Are you John Tanton? No? Then chill out.

    Illegal is illegal.
Even if Tanton is a racist (which he is fully entitled to be, this is still a free country right?), TWO WRONGS DON"T MAKE A RIGHT!
Illegal immigrants need to start following the rules.

Aside from Pancho and Byte giving their opinions; personally I think the Sierra Club is a group of d-bags that need to realize what modern economic movement is going on and stop picketing the US Petroleum Industry (which paid for pretty much everything I had growing up- mother works in Petro-information). But I digress, back to the topic at hand, we need a more steadfast and strict enforcement of laws in this country. Laws are written to be followed and enforced, and punish those who break them. Now I can agree with granting leniency in situations (like not getting a ticket for going 5+ the speed limit) but that's all based on those who enforce making a judgement call on behalf of public safety and order. When someone who is clearly an illegal is working for a US company, has falsified documents, AND illegally gained access to one of the most controlled an safeguarded homes in America, and doesn't get punished for the crimes, that just infuriates me beyond comprehension. Then on top of it, the company is not punished for hiring him, and knowingly aided him in committing crimes, looked the other way with knowledge of his illegal activity, and they are not punished! BULLSHIT! This is where I draw the line. Someone needs to be held accountable for these crimes, someone needs to be punished. It's to the point where we have a clear cut case of many not doing the job that they are being paid to do and when an everyday citizen contemplates standing up for what is right and takes it upon themselves to expose and punish where our government has failed, we have already lost our nation, our beliefs, and our way. Humpty dumpty has fallen off the wall, if we don't find someone who can fix him fast then shame on us for failing to maintain our country in the regard that we should. Mr. Obama, in the words of Donald Trump: "YOU'RE F***ING FIRED!"
That is all I have to say on that matter.

Illegal is a crime, not a race.

I think this speaks volumes for the stellar security and vetting process at the WH though.........

I really don't understand the people that agree with this reporter's point of view. Amnesty for illegal immigrants? Eleven million of them?! That's far more than the nearly eight million CITIZENS incarcerated in this country. What would these same people say if we gave them their freedom and handed out free passes to the next three million to go through our justice system? Sadly, the response would probably be much the same.

The only immigration reform we need in this country is a tightening of our borders and more stringent enforcement of our existing laws. People like this reporter should be afraid of being outed, not proudly proclaiming their illegal status in national publications. America is not his "home" as he claimed, it's my home and he makes me sick.

Thank you, I couldn't agree more. True the recent legal immigrants can use that same BS excuse that at one point our grandparents or greatgrandparents etc. were once here on shaky legal standing, but they did it the right way. They didn't wade through a river or jump over a fence and just put up camp and stay here without following the legal system we have in place. Furthermore, many of them don't speak the language of the land and refuse to. This makes me wonder how much longer some of us have to wait until somebody in a position of power comes to our aid. Or do we have to do it ourselves? It's not racism when undocumented people with questionable legal standing (not sure how many criminals cross the border each day) and possible ties to extremist or terrorist orgs come here illegally and we demand something be done. I'm in the process of notifying my elected (lol) representatives that something needs to be done before this well is impossible to cap.
I wonder how many on here agree with me that there is inadequate enforcement of our immigration laws and border security, inadequate enforcement of "hablo ingles" and people like this rotten dispicable leech going unpunished is just plain wrong and someone in power needs to be fired? How many think that the system we have in place isn't working, and those running said system are doing a piss-poor job?

Here's the letter I sent to Mike Coffman, my representative:
    Hon. Mr. Coffman,
I do not expect this to be answered directly, but I would like to make you and other elected representatives aware of something that is beginning to become quite an alarming issue among your constituents. I read an article recently about a Washington Post Reporter who is in our country illegally, and has been for some time. He recently announced his status and is running his own campaign to aid in granting amnesty for himself and others like him. The link to the news story is: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2738366/posts
I would like to inform you that this issue is very important to me and my family, and something needs to be done about this. Is someone, whoever enforces our federal immigration laws, asleep at the wheel? How can these people, who aren't even here legally, slip passed some of our strongest layers of security (like the White House) and then get away with it? How can they be allowed to work illegally for large, legitimate businesses and those businesses continue to operate as they are? Who is responsible for enforcing these laws? Why does it seem to me like some or all of those responsible aren't doing their jobs? I would greatly appreciate some sort of effort, not just for the security of our nation, in which I gladly spent some of the best years of my life defending, but also for our comfort, to enforce, secure, and defend America from those who willfully break our laws. I'm deeply concerned that this issue isn't getting any attention, and something should happen soon or we will continue to slip down a slope that I fear will be to difficult to get back up. And as a side note, I was raised to believe that in America we speak English. Why is it that we continue to bend to the will of those who immigrate here and refuse to employ the language of this nation? I appreciate all the hard work you do for our great state and thank you for your service (militarily and as our representative) to our great nation.
