I would like to hold out hope that voting can change things, but have you ever been in a crowded room where there are 200 people having 60 conversations? That's a lot like what we have in America now. All these people have different groups with different voices, so it just sounds like a bunch of noise. I saw just a taste of what the ideal America was on May 1st of this year outside the White House when hundreds had the same voice "USA!" Unfortunately that is one small moment of unity amid a larger timeline of different voices. I doubt we will ever be able to vote our power back into our hands, Jefferson was right, the best way to preserve liberty if by force, and the government needs to be reminded that this country was founded on revolution and that spirit still lives inside some of it's people.
