So I start the MEPS process tonight with my ASVAB, and then finish everything else in the morning. I'll post up how it goes tomorrow!

Awesome.
Good luck up there.
You know I like my coffee sweet in the morning
and I'm crazy about my tea at night
Seems like only last week I was in your shoes...and wow...almost 30 years have elapsed. ASVAB is critical if you are scratchin' on Intell / Crypto opps so..."do well, don't stress (no need) but..do well."
Beware of the "Dragon Lady" with the large square need in the left testicle...
Never mind, she was in the San Diego MEPS in the '80's. She was a shorter Asian lady that walked with a limp and had a wanky eye... She was SCARY!!
Good luck and don't stress... It's not that bad.

The Food Stamp Program, administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, is proud to be distributing the greatest amount of free meals and food stamps ever. Meanwhile, the National Park Service, administered by the U.S. Department of the Interior, asks us to ‘Please Do Not Feed the Animals'. Their stated reason for the policy is because the animals will grow dependent on handouts and will not learn to take care of themselves.

Good luck man, and remember, until you're walking on to the airplane headed for wherever basic is, it's not too late to say "I might have done this wrong, need to go back and fix some things..."
Don't sign anything until you're satisfied with what you have in your contract. If it's not in writing no one is obligated to give you anything. What MOS are you hoping for? Are they offering Duty Station of Choice (they didn't for me and I wish they had)?

Wow, two terms I've not thought or heard of in a long time! What did you score on your ASVAB?

I'm shooting for either Intel or Crypto, or possibly Master at Arms.
Right there with you on not signing anything. I'm doing delayed entry, so if the job I want at the time I want isn't available, I'm not gonna do it. If I was 18, well, might be a different story, but I'm 31 now
Taking the ASVAB tonight, so we'll see. I scored pretty high on the AFQT, so I shouldn't have a problem getting in to either of the ones I really want

Ugh I just had to deal with that last month. You'll be surprised at how few people end up actually swearing in with you at the end of the day. When I got there in the morning there were about forty of us, but once it got to the end ceremony there were only five other people with me. Just watch out for the lady who does the blood test...she freakin' mauled my arm. Also keep an eye on the guy next to you when you take the piss test...damn kid next to me was so nervous he almost dumped his cup on my leg.
