    And with a little digging, you'll find that this isn't the only plant currently encountering major issues. One in PA had 3 shutdowns in one week.

    My brother has been an engineer at nuclear plants for 11 years now. We have had many discussions about all aspects of the energy industry, including extensive conversations about nuke plants. His opinion was that the media was way over-reacting to the incident at that plant due to what happened in Japan. That might be why Obama told them to stop their sensationalism. The plant wasn't anywhere close to a meltdown. The plant wasn't even operating at the time, since it was in the middle of a re-fueling outage. That's not like pulling your car into a gas station - it is a month-long process.

    Nuclear energy is like gun control. There are anti's, those who don't care/know, and those who realize that it is the cleanest and safest form of energy we have.
