Gotta love LoDo... where else could you be so entertained and not have to pay an admission price?

You should have gone down last weekend.... the gay pride festival was going on.

You do pay an admission price. There is a 1% RTD sales tax if you live in the RTD service area.

Carry one of these, it'll keep the wierdos away. Might attract the Trekkie wierdos though.

The Planned Parent Hood stuff seems weird to me. I've been to Planned Parent Hood a few times in my life, and they never seemed weird to me. Then, I always hear stuff about them very strongly pushing their agenda. At least the few times I went there, it just seemed like a regular ole clinic. I guess I wasn't some 13 year-old prostitute either though.

Haha, I didn't mean it that way. Whoops. I was thinking about the Acorn thing.

Planned Parenthood, Greenpeace, and other "non profit" groups hire canvassers from craigslist and backpage. They pay them a percentage of the donations and have a very high turnover rate.

Creepy that they wanted to talk to your kids. Kids don't have the resources to make donations. But that's what happens when you hire stoners from craigslist to work for straight commission.

It makes perfect sense. While teens aren't their donating demographic they are their business demographic.

The mall is definitely interesting but I can only handle a once a year visit or so.

Funny that you say that Clint, I was just talking to a guy that moved here from Philly while working on the Obama campaign. He was telling me all these stories of working for non-profits and doing all kinds of shady things. For instance, at one place, his job was to cold call people for money to prevent a bill from passing. At the time he was doing that job, that particular bill had passed over a year ago. They lost, and were still calling people to get money from them. Super shady.

Anyone ever see that Black Guy dress in a Pseudo-Power Ranger/robot costume that performs on the 16th street mall. He's pretty funny.
I've seen him a few times, but it's been years since I used to hang out down there.
