    Default Cracked Charging Handle

I went to Blue Core today and ran about 90 rounds through my AR-15.

At the end of my range time I notice that the BCG was jamming, so I knocked it off and went home to investigate.

    Here is what I found-

So I obviously need a new charging handle. I'm not sure the manufacturer of this but I suspect that it may be a Rock River Arms as the rest of the carbine is.

    A couple of questions -

Is this a result of a cheap handle?

Is this a sign of a larger problem?

Any recommendations for a solid replacement?

Are the PRI Gas Buster charging handles really worth $90?

    Thanks in advance -

Check out the BCM Gunfighter.....a lot of people like em including me. No issues.

I would reccomend a BCM charging handle. Looks like it might of had a manafacturing defect.

Be sure to check your gas key. If it is loose it may have hastened the CH failure.

When I had the BCG apart it seemed fine, though I might have missed any fit issues.

I'll look it over again - thanks.

I rember seeing a Thread on ARFcom Where a guy has his C-hande crack like that. If I rember corectly he used the bolt release while the charging handle was pulled out and it slamed it foward with the bolt and cracked it.

That sounds like that would do it, but I know that I haven't done that.

I'm going to get a BCM Gunfighter (Medium) from Bowers Tactical today-
